This is a modified part for the Lulzbot TAZ 2.0 3D printer. It should also work fine for the TAZ 3.0 3D printer since this part was unchanged between the two models.
The part is the Z-Axis holder. The original design had a curvey shape that gave it some flex in the Z-Axis. I found this to create inaccuracies in the Z-Axis and it also broke at one point so wanted something more solid.
This part is dimensionally identical so you can swap it directly, but is a solid block of plastic.
Having made this "upgrade" the Z-Axis is more rigid. I prefer this, although I'm unsure whether it significantly improves the print quality. I feel like the print quality is better with these new Z-Axis holders.
This work was derived from LulzBot's original TAZ 2.0 designs. https://download.lulzbot.com/TAZ/2.0/
