For the management of the hanging cables that attach to the extruders. The support keeps the cable from rubbing against the bed and your object as it prints.
You will need to remove one of the zip ties (for each extruder), to free a hole to allow attachment of the structure (see picture for mounting holes).
Use M4 bolt/nut on top, and M5 bolt (or larger) on the side. Zip ties could possibly work in lieu of bolts.
Depending on how twisty your cables are, you may need to secure it around the arm with a tie (if using version 1).
The 1st version doesn't require supports when printing. The 2nd version (v2) gives a higher cable elevation (but will need print supports). I've found and used something similar to version 2 on my Creality CR10, thus the inspiration of the design.
Overall, v1 looks less conspicuous (especially if printed in black), whereas v2 holds the cables much better (no ties needed) but might not look as nice. I would recommend version 2, which is what I ended
