The Cosmo Protectorate has been making and exporting starships to all customers for centuries despite recessions, wars, economic sanctions, and the occasional boycott campaign. Protectorate craft have been seen in the core systems and beyond the outer rim. Their designs are practical, rugged, and perhaps a little cheap, but they get the job done.

The Coyote destroyer ranks among the most well known combatants of the mercenary incursions in the outer rim. Widely available, durable, and easy to operate, Coyotes were a common sign during the incursions, and many changed hands over the years, sometimes leading to confusion as ships wearing old colors were sometimes in action against their former owners.
