SPD Pedal Adapter (Stud version)

pscruggs nailed the original pedal, but I just wanted a more robust design, and beefier traction. So I increased the size of the fitting stud at the rear of the pedal so it would not wiggle its way under the spring loaded portion of the pedal. I favored adding holes to the pedal and gluing in hex studs for traction. I also squared it off after I broke a few of the originals.

You may need to enlarge the holes to fit the studs, but just a drop of superglue should do the trick.

EDIT: After a few rides I realized the traction stud shafts were too small and I cracked off a few. Newer version has thicker traction stud shafts and bigger holes.
