This is a Speaker Wire Connector Plug for 8mm OC. pins that are found on Philips and many other Home Theatre Systems. It is designed to use #18 AWG, 2 conductor wire. The wire is stripped back 3/8" (10mm) and bent back after pushing it through the plug, so the pins on the receptacle and the bare wire make contact on the outer side of the wire.
