We’ve been having some issues with our new 3D printer nozzle clogging. We believe this is due to a lack of air being blown over the fins in the latest Spiderbot printer. The fan only blows across one third of the cooling fins. We designed and printed a duct that redirects the air across all of the fins.
The fan is simply press-fit on top of the duct. The part is made of two support-free pieces that can be super-glued together. If your fan doesn't fit tight enough, try adding a drop of superglue to the mating piece.
Note: The foil material shown in the picture is a heat shield we added to protect the part and cooling fins from the heat radiating off the hot-end.
