Spin Sampling System

Features: 1. Filter by Rotation. By rotating in different speeds, samples would roll, which helps the filtering. 2. Layer different-size samples with a linear motion (see the 2nd slide). 3. Spin out the unwanted residual sample by fast spinning. Materials: 1. Transparent parts in the design are designed to be made of Polycarbonate. Those parts would 2. contact with samples should be coated with Teflon. 3. The metal parts are made of aluminium. 4. Motor: FaulHaber 0816012SR with Encoder and Gearhead Other systems: 1. A robotic arm on the lander: Collect regolith and pour in the presented design. 2. Visual system from the lander to ensure the sampling works properly. 3. Temperature control system is required to hold the temperature in the chamber, as motors may not work at -140C.
