Spinner buttons

thread a 32 inch piece of string through the two holes, tie the ends together, put a few twists in the string then pull the ends apart, as the buttn spins, relax and allow it to wind the string up, then pull apart causing the button to spin in the opposite direction. Repeat again and again. this is a manufactured version of a very old toy originally made with big buttons.
