Check out my latest 3D printed design: a spinning top kit card! This new design prints as a flat card with five parts that assemble quickly and easily — no glue or tools needed (press-fit). Once built, the spinning top creates a mesmerizing effect, with the outer ring appearing to hover in mid-air while it spins! It’s lightweight, prints super quickly! A spinning top is a perfect example of physics in action: demonstrating rotational motion, angular momentum, and gyroscopic stability. Its stability comes from angular momentum (L=I⋅ω), which resists changes in orientation. When gravity acts on the tilted top, it creates a torque, causing the top to precess. Resulting a graceful circular motion of its axis, instead of falling over. This happens because the angular momentum redirects the force, showcasing the principle of conservation. The faster the top spins, the more stable it becomes, making it a fascinating blend of motion and balance. I hope you enjoy this little project <3 Assembly
