This is a 1" spiral light baffle for eliminating stray light on an optics bench (spirals are easier to print than stacked disks). 1/2" standard support rods, 1" diameter through, 1-1/2" overall diameter, 2-1/2" long with last 1/2" cut with square (non-standard) threads to attach to other baffles. Long light-tight tubes can be constructed by connecting screw threads. Short labels can be put on the rod-holder. All dimensions customizable in OpenSCAD. Version 3 puts some tapering on the threads to ease the connections.

I've added a lens/filter-holder with male/female threads that can be attached to light baffle. Short labels can be embossed on the cylindrical holder.

This component was modified from the Open-source optics project, whose goal is to radically reduce the cost of scientific optical hardware: by the [Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group]( http://www.mse.mtu.edu/MOST).
