The concept behind a system I am calling "Back to Basics" is being developed for the Cube 3 printer. This little marvel seems to have taken on a second life after 3D Systems decided to get out of the personal printer market. Today I am introducing an accessory to run external spools on the printer and manage said spool on the cartridge case. One of the highlights of this system is the preservation of the Cube 3's distinctive style.

Note that this modification locks the nut inside the cartridge. This allows removal of the post at any time for transport or simply because it is not needed. This makes sure the cartridges are still easily stored. The nut remains captive inside the case. When
