As I'm sure everyone does, I have a lot of relatively short segments of filament. To organize these and make them easy to use in an AMS, I designed what I call “The Spool-O-Scrap.” I took the base Bambu spool hub and modified it so the spool can be partitioned into up to 11 sections. There are three sizes of section dividers; all are small enough to clear the AMS filament feeder. Just slip the dividers over the hub and twist to lock them in place. There are holes around the inner and outer divider rims to anchor the filament. I've made the parts on both an old Ender 3 (8-bit) and an H2C. You will likely need to reem out the rim holes when printing on an older machine like the Ender 3. I may well have re-invented the “spool” here, but it helped refamiliarize myself with Fusion 360 after a six-year absence.
