Edit:New version (v4) I bought some PETG and thickened up the threads. It works perfect now. Save me chucking the whole reel out.
----------------------------------
So, I made a bit of a mistake dropping a SUNLU 1kg spool of filament. The way they are designed is that they are two halves that twist and lock together. However, after managing to get the two halves together, it kept popping apart. Not wanting to waste about 800g of filament, I had to do something.
I looked on a few 3D file sites and couldn't find what I needed to make sure the two halves stayed together. So I designed my own and decided to upload it for other people who accidently drop their spools and can't manage to keep the two parts engaged.
It's a very simple print, but functional for people who are stupid like me and like to drop filament spools. It is tailored to that particular spool, but should be easy to alter in Fusion, Blender, etc. The pieces will fit inside spools with an inner diameter of minimum ~63mm
