2" pine wood strips and PLA. It can easily hold about 20 1Kg (2 pounds) spools including a space for the small factor spools. You can combine the pieces to resize it and change layout to fit your needs.With wood it gets a decent weight that prevents it from turning over and you can also cut a piece of glass to put on top and make a little table.The BOM for the picture example is:• 1.2 Kg of PLA filament• 4 pieces of 2” x 70 cm pine strip• 6 pieces of 2” x 60 cm pine strip• 7 pieces of 2” x 13 cm pine strip• 44 screws (16mm will do fine)
