This is an Insert replacement for Adidas Sport Sun Glasses.
Those inserts clip inside the sunglasses and provide eyesight correction with appropriate lenses.
I broke the insert in my well used Evil Eye Adidas sun glasses. I used them for several sports; competitive volleyball (indoor and beach), snowboarding, white water kayaking.
After several years of good and frequent use, the nylon insert broke and instead of spending another 60$, I opted to try and print a replacement part.
This is the result. I use those glasses 3 to 4 times a week on the water and on the vball court. Harsh testing environment
Printed using the excellent Materio3D PLA, the first printed insert lasted almost a year - until I got whacked in the face with a paddle during a kayak-polo game, earlier this week. Outch!
I printed a couple of replacement inserts and used the new glasses yesterday in a nice little local class IV creek running at good water level.
The original insert (29x26 SPX) is made from nylon. I
