Spring seat 3

Spring seat for the unfinished cut end of a generic 19mm OD, 3.2mm wire diameter, 7mm pitch spring, to see if it will work in a 1996 Rockshox Judy fork. I cut 2 springs out of the one 400mm long spring.

I hit the generic spring with some white primer without bothering to prep it for paint, beyond wiping it with alcohol. Most current cheaper forks with one long coil spring in one leg have shrink tube around the middle, maybe so it won't scrape when the middle buckles under compression.
