This fairly large container is formed from a 5-sided squircle shape that I first used in these prints: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3047912, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3050195, and a couple of other squircle based shapes.
As you can see, this container has a screw-on top. The only way to make something like this is to give it a circular interior, which I did. Then I added male and female threads to allow the top to screw on to the bottom. What I didn't consider at the time was how well the top and bottom would match up when they were screwed together. After both top and bottom finished printing I found out the answer - they don't exactly match up.
The photo of the 2 together looks fine, but there is about 1/8 or a turn left to fully tighten the top onto the bottom. It turns out the only way to ensure a good matchup with something like this is trial and error, and considering the amount of time required to print these parts I wasn't about to try that.
