Tight curves in the shift cable of bikes lead to friction when changing gears. This can lead to slow downshifts, bad overall shift quality and high forces at the trigger.
This part can be used to guide the shift cable rearwards on SRAM 11s or 12s derailieurs.
On bike frames with cable routing through the seat stay it can improve the shift quality by reducing the friction in the shift cable. Shift forces at the trigger are much lower, downshifts are quicker.
It replaces the cable pulley wheel. On GX and NX deraillieurs you have to drill out the rivet.
Also you may need to shorten the bolt, the nut or both.
