Hi, here is my design for an automatic focus stack machine using a Velbon Super Mag Slide.
Minimum movement: 0.001mm (more or less :D).

- ESP8266 board
- 28BYJ-48 Step Motor plus Driver board with ULN28003
- 0,96" oled display (black&white) SSD1315
- 5V relay module
- 3 buttons, diameter 12mm
- 2 M6x90 with nuts, some small screw (M2x4 for ESP, M2x6 for cover, M3x6 for motor)
- cable with camera connector (I've used 2.5mm jack for my Pentax)
- a Velbon Super Mag Slide (or some clone) and a camera :D
I built one for a friend, but his slide was harder to move than mine.
The stepper motor torque wasn't enough, so I designed an optional gearbox. Files starting with "GB" are for the gearbox.

1 ball bearing 6mm diameter
1 M3x16mm and nut
My design isn't very smart because the nut needs to be inserted into gear 1.
You'll have to pause printing at 10.8mm, insert the nut, and then resume printing. :)
