I tried a few of the other designs I came across here but each had something I didn't like so I decided to make my own. They're very simple and relatively small at just 100mm/~4". I don't usually need to sort more than $30-40 in coins at a time so I don't need a larger, more efficient setup. They stack well together without slipping down inside the next tray as one of the other designs I tried did. I made the walls 2mm thick to keep them very robust. The thicker bottoms also made it possible to add more holes per tray without sacrificing stregth.
I printed 2 sets. One at .16mm layer height and one at .3mm. Both turned out great and there's really no benefit to the higher resolution on this project. Print time is about 2 hours for each tray at .3mm and 45mm/sec. The dimes tray takes a bit longer with it's lack of holes and therefore more material to print. At .16mm the whole set took a little over 18 hours.
When using the trays, don't add too many coins all at once. I fou
