Stair Gate Spacer

I needed to mount a child proof gate where one of the brackets would be against the newel (tapered post) of the stair rail. This would cause the gate bracket to tilt backwards and not function properly; also, the newel is round.

This "spacer" or "buffer" fills in the roundness, and the taper, to make the original gate bracket level and square, and function properly.


This is an openSCAD built thing, and can therefore be customized to the size, shape, and taper of your newel.
