Designed to hold a standard playing card either sleeved or unsleeved. The fit is loose enough that neither the card nor sleeve are damaged.
Their primary use is to hold reference cards so they can be off to the side but still easy to read.
You can use your finger on the lip on the front to slide it around on the table easily. The indents in the front and back make it easier to pick up when putting everything away.
The card will stay in the stand so long as you don't pick it up at angle. I prefer to slide them once they're placed.
