I made this little star to test print on a diffraction grating sheet. I was inspired by [this article](https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/dh60tm/printed_my_logo_on_top_of_a_diffraction_grating/) and followed some suggestions in [another article](https://learn.adafruit.com/3d-printing-on-diffraction-grating-sheets) I then found.
The sheet goes on the print bed and the first layer of the print picks up the teeny tiny grooves in the surface. The surface of the print then diffracts the light too. I was able to print several stars in the same spot on the sheet. The plastic does not attach to the print. I used a dual-axis sheet that has 13,500 lines per inch. These types of sheets can be found on Amazon.
This was a fun little model and I have more ideas for what to print next! The colors look best under strong, direct light. Very cool!
