Highly detailed model of an Assault Phaser from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

11 joints are needed to attach the pieces and 4 rivets for the slide.
I reprinted the muzzle in silky pla (in the first photos it is normal pla). It has to be vertical so the layers are perpendicular to the z axis, in this way the silky pla looks like polished metal. You also need supports and with such small grooves ...they are really quite difficult to remove.
The logo is printed in 3 colors (transparent, black and red) with this technique:

The way to assemble everything is:
- glue grip_left and grip_right.
- glue heatsink1 and heatsink2.
- sand, prime and paint all the pieces (repeat as necessary).
- glue the rivets to the slide and apply a final coat of paint.
- glue the controls to the back and apply a final coat of paint..
