I have a large collection of Star Trek ships that I wanted to display, and a 3d printer...so I decided to get creative!
The shelves are designed with for 6-inch deep shelves and have keyholes on the back for mounting to the wall.
These were designed to be printed flat on their sides without support. I had the best results slicing a .2mm layer heights with 4 solid layers top and bottom, using 20% infill and Octagramspiral as the fill pattern. I had mixed results with rectilinear and concentric, but feel free to experiment!
The keyholes have built-in support, so just trim out the little 1mm wide support after printing.
