Now that students are participating in distance learning and doing work at home, having a desk organizer would be essential for a tidy workspace. This organizer features writing utensil holders to the left, as well as two drawers and a mini open compartment on the right. These compartments can be used to store small objects such as erasers, sticky notes, and paperclips. With its compact design, students can place this stationery holder anywhere on their workspace without taking up too much space.
After modeling it on SolidWorks, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what material to use for my desk organizer. I knew I wanted to use hard plastic, but I was unfamiliar with the types of plastics listed in the software. I did a little research on a lot of the plastics and decided that I would stick to setting the base material to PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate, which is also known as acrylic. If I could design this again, I would change the material of the four legs to silicone. Doi
