Steamdeck Grip

I designed this grip extension to improve the ergonomics of the steamdeck, at least as far as my own hands go. I felt that the deck grips were a bit too small and awkward to hold, especially when using the trackpads a lot.

I really liked how the old Steam Controllers felt to hold, and how they positioned your thumbs perfectly over the trackpads. I tried to replicate that here as much as possible.

The fact that the steamdeck is a lot heavier to hold than any normal gamepad was also a consideration. I designed the finger holds to be as deep as possible, so there are more places to distribute the weight of the unit over the entire hand. The pinky area especially is intended to increase the amount of support.
