Recently I decided that the ends of the 2020-section frame parts on my desktop-CNC needed a bit more bling. For other CNC accessorising I've done with my 3D printer I've tried to use a sort of steampunked theme, so that's what I chose for this project too.
The end caps are printed in two parts, to get the highest quality prints by reducing the need for support material. In fact, the only support material needed is the hole under the top, which won't show in the finished cap. When that's removed the two parts can be glued together and slipped into the top of the 2020-section.
For customisation the OpenSCAD file is also included here.
