These printable brackets hold the lamp at a fixed angle. They are little spacer blocks that slide up in between the metal stand and the plastic fin/housing of the lamp and stays in place through an interference fit, which then keeps the “sun” locked into place at the same angle. Only 1 spacer block is required for each lamp although 2 can be used (one on each side) for added robustness.

Print in ABS only - during testing, heat from the lamp caused deformation of a PLA bracket after about 10 minutes. ABS printed brackets were a lot more heat resistant and were found to hold their shape and form even after 45 minutes of lamp operation (Longer than most student experiments).

Downloadable STL files contain the same bracket, in lots of 1, 10, 20 and 30.
