I decided to learn Fusion360 and I chose this as my first try.
This is just the Engine portion, my next project is the Tender.
The build guide is rough and I've included picts to help.
This model is roughly 5” “Live Stream” Sized. That is the Scale is close to 1:12 and the track Gauge is 120mm. Finished model is 350mm long, 150mm wide and 380mm high.
This model is planned to be assembled with glue, metal screws (M2.2 6.5mm) and filament 1.75 (inserted in holes and melted to act/look like rivets, grey or black). The rivet holes will most likely need to be expanded due to printer tolerances, I use a 2mm drill bit. The pictures are mostly from “test prints”, not the final models colours.
Model Rev1, fully plastic with 5mm steel rods inside the axils, wheels turn but a bit rough….
Model Rev2, install bearings so she can roll easier (Drive 685ZZ, Trailing and cart MR95ZZ pre ordered from Amazon, also 5mm rod). If trying this option, print out the “xxbearing” parts, press
