After installing a new MKS Base motherboard some prints came out shifted...in particular the larger and more complex prints, and combined prints...very frustrating!

I remembered that I had this problem before and it had something to do with the stepper motor..not the slicing, not the memory card, not the power instability :-)

For future reverence I post this installing addition.

The voltage is measured between the USB casing and the stepper motor potentiometer.
I currently set the potentiometer voltage to 1.2volt i.s.o. the advised 0.9/1.0.

Before adjusting the motors were quite warm (indication for a too high current/voltage), about 41°C...
After adjusting they were about 26°C, some 10°C above room-temperature.

A too high voltage causes the stepper motor to overshoot the next step, and also may cause to shake the (larger/higher) print loose.
At a too low voltage the motor might not be able to overcome the sliding resistance or displace the printed mass.
