Stir Plate

This stir plate body features a lid that snap-fits into the base with clearance for the height of two neodymium disc magnets mounted onto the fan that sits on the four pillars inside.

MAKE SURE TO PRINT THE LID WITH THE EXTRUDED FEATURES FACING UP, FLAT FACE ON BOTTOM.

This thing is designed to enclose specific electronic components listed below. Minor adjustments to mounting holes can be made with a file, sandpaper, tape, glue, etc.

• DPDT toggle switch -- C&K L202031MS02Q (press this into the rectangular hole on the back)

• Potentiometer (part number unknown)
I used a logarithmic taper pot from a guitar effects pedal. A LINEAR taper would perform better. Critical dimensions:
Housing diameter (max width) = 24mm
Mounting depth = 12mm
Max height = 30mm
