Stirling Engine

A Stirling engine is an external combustion engine that operates by cyclically compressing and expanding a gas (usually air or helium) in a sealed cylinder. Its function involves: 1. **Heating the Gas:** The gas inside the engine is heated by an external heat source. 2. **Expansion:** As the gas heats up, it expands and pushes a piston or diaphragm. 3. **Cooling the Gas:** The gas is then moved to a cooler part of the engine where it contracts. 4. **Compression:** The contracting gas reduces in volume, pulling the piston back.
