This is a board holder for the ST Micro [STM32L496 Discovery](https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32l496gdiscovery.html) board.
The stand holds it at a 22 degree angle to make it easy to see the LCD display. It has enough clearance below the board that you can plug in an Arduino shield board on the underside (or one of the ST expansion shields).
You don't really need to do any additional steps but you can stick rubber bumper feet on the bottom if you are worried about it sliding across your workbench. Another benefit of mounting the board to the stand is that you avoid damaging connectors on the bottom of the board.
I used #4-40 x 1/4" machine screws to attach it, do **not** try to re-use the plastic screws that the board uses to connect to the standoffs. They won't bite into the plastic and can split the mounting post.
