Straight Lock

This mechanism is simple, cheap and fully automatic. The way this works is when the weight acts on the hooks it is pushed down, at this position it is in perfect position to lock. As it moves down it is split by the spliter and the hooks lock into position. when the weight is removed the hooks move up and out of the way of splitter, so the spring push them together and it is unlocked. The long hooks reduces the stress in the member
