Replacement Base for a Tablet / Microphone arm.
My base for the arm where i have mounted my iPad had failed (metal fatigue) so i designed this replacement base, Its designed to be mounted on my bed frame.
Additional hardware used:
- 2x bearing type 608zz
- M8 rod length 138 mm
- M8 self locking nut
- 6x M4x70 wood screws
Assembly:
- Thread the M8 rod into the Arm plate
- Mount the bearing spacer between the two bearings
- Insert the arm plate and rod into the bearings
- Mount the friction ring and M8 nut at the end of the rod
- Tighten the M8 nut until you are happy with the smoothness of rotating the arm
For friction free rotation do not install the friction ring.
