Yes, there are many good open-source robot arm projects on the internet. But, those do not belong to me, at least the knowledge is not. I want to design a robot arm by myself and learn some cool stuff during the process. So.... Here it is:
An almost full 3D printable robot arm. The modular design of the function head allows you to install your design for specific tasks. Epicyclic gearing provides high torque and precision. The dual servo-driven claw can grab objects tight.
Screws: M3*6, M3*8, M3*10, M3*30, M3 melt-in nut
Bearing: 4.5mm airgun BBs
Hardware: SG-90 servo, 42 stepper motor, esp32-wroom32, A4988 driver, 12V DC power supply, 12V to 5V DCDC converter
Suggest printing epicyclic gearing parts with ABS or CF-enforced material
The Epicyclic_Gearing_42_axis2.3mf is for the gearbox of the upper arm stepper
Firmware (still in dev): https://github.com/KILLERWHOPPER/StupidArmBasicFirmware
I am still working on the software and dev notes. I may update them later, dep
