Subframe Chassis

This was my first attempt at using the structure design functionality in CATIA. To make this model I first used GSD to make a 3D sketch of the chassis. Then using structure design I applied a box section profile and swept it along each line. Finally using the "trim to surface" tool I trimmed each of the sections appropriately. The advantages of using structure design over using GSD (surface design) is that if I were to manufacture the chassis in real life I could easily create a cutting list as each of the sections are saved as individual components.
