Suitecase (Prince) lock

From my great-grandmother I inherited two suitecases, much older than I am. I love these two suitcases im memory of familie's history.

The original locks are casted from some metal I cannot identify, maybe nickel since it is magnetic but does not corrode... anyway. The locks broke and all my attempts to weld, solder or paste the broken parts did never work long.

So I sad down, completely disassembled the parts and redesigned the lock. The result is given in the attached files.
