Surface Mount Tape Dispenser

These SMD magazines are designed to be ganged together into an array, or shut with a cover. The group of magazines can be slid onto a standard 35mm DIN rail for easy incorporation into a component wall or parts bin. The aperture grips a standard 1mm tape of generic passives well.

Feed the start of the cover tape out the chute before closing the magazine, and make sure to take up slack while you're removing components. I've found that pulling on the cover tape itself can be used to advance the reel.

There's space for component labels on the front of the magazines, I've found label-maker labels stick fine.
