Surgical Aortic Valve Model

I am a cardiac surgical resident in the UK. I was frustrated at the lack of availability of surgical models for practice. I therefore bought the Anet A8 for the purpose of this project.

5 Versions later I feel I have: a model that is anatomically correct as viewed by the operative surgeon (~25mm annulus diameter), can be used to practice the aortotomy or incisions for root enlargement procedures, can be used to practice the placement of annular sutures and even be used to practice sizing and the implantation of a prosthetic valve.

I have uploaded a copy with the leaflets still in place so you can appreciate the anatomy. Unfortunately its difficult to practice annular decalcification on this model. I've also uploaded the model with the aortotomy pre-designed in as this is the best for simply practising the placement of sutures.
