This is a switch assembly that I use for a CNC pendant.
I've posted this separately to make it easier to obtain for your project.
I used 4 MXRS micro-switches, 2 9657k651 springs from www.mcmaster.com, and a 3mm x 5. The switches are mounted with self tapping 2mm screws. The springs center the switch contacts and makes it a center off and one or both switches in each direction for a 2 speed function.
Assemble the springs as shown and secure the center post with the 3mm screw. See that the springs are centering correctly and the switch action is smooth and doesn't stick. You might need to sand the rails slightly.
Look in my designs for a Pendant that uses the switch for how I used it.
Cheers
