A zero-gap (or Zero Gap) insert plate refers to a saw insert that has minimal spacing on either side of the saw blade. This design allows the insert to fit very closely around the blade, creating a nearly seamless support surface for the workpiece. Uses of a Zero Gap Insert PlateAdvantages:It improves cutting quality on the underside of the workpiece by supporting it up to the saw blade teeth, significantly reducing tear-out.It prevents small sections from falling into the saw slot, reducing the risk of jamming or kickback.Disadvantages:Tilting the saw blade for miter cuts is not possible with a zero-gap insert, so it must be replaced when angled cuts are needed. Assembly Instructions:This assembly can be glued only, but additionally using screws is highly recommended.Materials Needed:M5x14mm screwsM5 thread cutter5mm drill bitPreparation:File down all mating surfaces to ensure a flush fit before assembly.Create M5 threads in one part and 5mm holes in the other part.
