The start of a jig for installing "splitters" in custom-built table saw blade insert plates. This was modeled from a picture in a catalog, I don't own a commercial jig.

This jig will screw to a thin sheet of ply/MDF positioned square with the fence, fence adjusted so the blade centers in the rectangular groove. Four holes then drilled with a 7/64" drill locate the position of a splitter. The actual splitter part will insert into those holes. The six mounting holes are sized for a #12 screw.

**NOTE** I don't know if this will work, if the splitter part will be strong enough to not just snap off in use. The commercial products use plastic-coated splitters with metal cores.

**Update - 2019-10-02**

Two splitter versions are available: a regular and a reinforced ("cored") version. The splitter body is 1/64" under the standard 1/8" kerf width.

The regular version is plastic only. Maybe it is strong enough, maybe not. Print another one if it breaks.
