This is a design for a small tabletop solder fume extractor, that is based on a 60x60x40mm fan from Delta, specifically the AFC0612DE-AF00. This fan came out of an old HP server and if connected to 12V, it will spin, but quite fast and it will be pretty loud. It also have a pin that can be used for speed control, using PWM, and I have added a little microcontroller board (pretty much any that can be powered from the 12V can be used), that simply sends out the PWM signal corresponding to 25% as that is what I found to be the minimum that the fan would run at.The filter is a replacement filter for a commercial product, that I cut down to match the fan size and it needs to be 10mm thick to match the case.To assemble the case, you will need:4x M3 heat set brass inserts4x M3 x 55mm cap head screws (if these are hard to find, M3 threaded rod and 4 nuts on the back could be used instead)60x60x10mm active carbon filterBarrel jack socket (you can also simply wire up the fan directly to a power
