Since I had my spool laying on the bottom of my printer and the filament was always twisting and curling, I looked on thingiverse for a simple tabletop spool holder and couldn't find any that would be useful to me. I'm sharing this model I made in case anyone needs it and doesn't have many tools around.
The model is to be printed in two copies, one for each side. To join both sides I used a 25mm diameter PVC pipe I had laying arround - with a 25,3mm designed hole the pipe slips right into place. The part was dimensioned to fit a 220mm diameter spool.
Since I didn't want the spool tipping in the middle of the print I decided to close the support on top. That might difficult the spool change but it definitely holds it in place as expected.
