23.12.15 Updates: There is a new retaining clip that fits on the wire side and improves the tightness of the fit. The bottom plate has a bigger slot now to improve strength and the retaining clips have corresponding larger tabs.
Update: I added two new parts; the iPhone slot size was increased by 2mm in width and 2mm in depth (thickness). The new inside dimension is 86x15 mm.
A hidden docking station that fits under the dash in a 2022 Tacoma (or any 3rd gen). It is sized to fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max, but would probably fit the 13 & 14 Pro max as well. It has an angled clip that connects into the small slot below the USB port.
I'm using a right-angle cable that is held tight to the base with a 2.5mm plate that fits over the connector. There is also a locking plate included that can be used to keep the bottom plate secure, it fits into the open slots on the sides.
