Very simple posts for retaining the battery strap for a variety of Tamiya DF02 vehicles.
This replaces the existing posts and requires a M3 stud, M3 thumb nut, and a M3 screw for the bottom side. Most newer packs are a pretty tight squeeze in the chassis. This should help with that and allow you to still secure the battery pack.
Tap the two holes in the post with a M3 tap. Remove the old battery post and replace it with this post. A M3X8 or M3X10 should be sufficient to retain the post. You will need a M3 stud - I'd recommend at least 20 mm, and a M3 thumb nut. If you like more positive engagement for the stud, you can use a non-locking M3 nut as a jam nut. This should allow you to use thicker battery packs (aka Lipos). If you want to go to something crazy like a 3S pack, you'll have to mess around with the post height or use a longer stud.
