Tape Measure Attachment

At work, I needed to get precise measurements of these small heights but I couldn't get the tape measure next to the part to measure (because the bottom of it was wider than the top) to get an accurate height reading.

So I designed this tape measure attachment that easily snaps on and off, has a clip to go onto my safety vest/pants and can act as a ruler (each tick to tick mark is an in).

The width and arch of the clip part may need to be adjusted for wider tape measure but still stays onto both big and smaller tape measures.
