There are a group of designs call tape spool tape measure spool etc . One of the big differences is the idea of print in place for the spool part . The idea of print in place rarely works right because of the many differences on how accurate your machine is in the smallest of prints , also many times you have to change the way your slicer works to get this to work. So I did try a few of these and messed with spacing slicer options but I could not get a clean print from them . So this design just does the spool and spool holder to 2 different prints i.e. not print in place . Since I changed the whole idea I didn't tie my design to any of them. The code for the scad file is a lot simpler and easy to read , and for the printer it's also easy .
